Docent and Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Center of Photographic Art. Volunteers are an essential element of our organization and we look forward to you joining our team.

We have three volunteer programs: gallery docent, general volunteer and special skills volunteer. You may participate in as many programs as you like. The Gallery Docent works in the gallery, greets visitors, answers questions about the gallery, the current exhibition and the organization. General volunteers assist with the planning and/or the execution of our events, such as workshops and lectures. Or they may get involved with office and administrative duties. Other more specialized opportunities exist such as copy writing and web development.

If you have a skill you would like to share, let us know. Whether you are a photographer, an enthusiast, collector or good friend, the CPA needs your skills and talents.

To become a docent or volunteer for the Center for Photographic Art you must be over 18 years old and:
  • Agree to a minimum of a 1 year commitment
  • Agree to attend training
  • Agree to be dependable, reliable and professional while representing the Center for Photographic Art
  • Attendance at meetings is highly recommended.
