Rational thoughts never drive people’s creativity the way emotions do.
–Neil de Grasse Tyson.

This is a five week class that focuses towards a creative approach and away from the technical constrictions of photography. It is about letting go and shifting our perspective.

We will explore the core of the creative practice:
• Emotion
• Intuitions
• Inquiry
• Personal search

It is based on the idea that sometimes we all need to feed our inner artist in order to find our personal direction and become creative again. Creative inquiry is designed to feed and support artistic growth and help you move towards a more creative practice. It is a form of “workout” for the emotional and intuitive side of the creative process.

Through encouraging assignments and readings you will find the inspiration to create beautiful new work. Students should know the basics of photography. All levels are welcome as it is a class focused on the creative not the technical aspects of photography.
