Passionate about photography since he got his first SLR camera at the age of 13, Ingo Bork has developed his photography skills through books, internet blogs, and practice, practice, practice. His busy work life in the high-tech industry almost let him forget about photography. But with the birth of his second daughter, Ingo started using a digital camera. Soon, he realized what great artistic freedom this technology provides, without the need for a sophisticated darkroom which requires special knowledge not easily achieved by an amateur photographer.

His love for nature and its beauty is the dominant theme of his pictures

Artist’s Statement

Zen in the Art of Photography” best describes my process of taking pictures. Hiking through nature with my camera, I can easily dive into “space-time”, absorbing colors, forms, and light. Photography becomes a form of meditation and contemplation about the nature of life, practicing an age-old concept using new technology. With my photographs, I invite you to meditate and search for your insight into the nature of life.
