Lyn Swett Miller
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1965, Miller worked in media and education for eighteen years before committing full time to caring for family and home. She is a fine arts graduate from Harvard College with an MBA and a Masters in Teaching. Miller lives in Hanover, NH where she is a founding member of the Sustainable Hanover Committee.She had her first solo show of her Compost Compositions in 2019 at AVA Gallery in Lebanon, NH and has been in a number of juried and group exhibitions in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Artist’s Statement
Lyn Swett Miller is an emerging photographer whose work honors the power and beauty of transformation. Miller has spent the past thirteen years trying to figure out what it takes for a suburban family of four to live within the planet’s means. Photography provided a voice for her activism. Compost became her muse and metaphor, inspiring her to reframe her relationships to everything and everyone.
