Al was my friend and mentor. No single person has influenced my photographic journey as much as Al. (His advice got my first image accepted by a museum.) Many people knew him longer and better than I, and there must be a thousand photographers in his debt.
Toward the end, we would sit and chat until he grew tired, and I took my cue to leave. He was as honest and straight-forward as any photographer could aspire to be, both in his conversation, his critiques, and his photographs.
In this video, you’ll meet the quintessential Al Weber, and likely understand why we all loved him.
Thanks, Al. You live in my heart now.
